I just picked up a Seagate ST32272N SCSI drive for my IIci. Its not an Apple spec'ed drive, but I can format it under HD Setup 7.5.3patched. I have also used Silver lining and Micronet.
The IIci can pick it up but it won't boot off of it, even when the drive is the only device on the chain. I do have the system software installed on it and even switched it to be the defualt startup device. Anyone know why it won't boot or how I can get it to boot? Sorry if this has been asked before, but I am new to setting up non-apple drives on classic systems. Thanks! -- Vintage Macs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
