Mmmmm.... So in order to print from an old Mac to a new usb-printer,
one should send a postscript file to a unix machine (lrp) and have
the unix machine send the file to a non postscript printer using
RIP-software.... I suppose these unix machines will have to be able
to talk to this printer in the native language of this printer first
to be able to pull this trick. This means that one must use a printer
with unix (linux mostly) driver software. Sorry, if I sound a bit
confused, but I don't get the picture right away...
Can one, considering the fact that there is also rip software
available for mac os and windows, also use a newer Mac or windows
machine to print to a usb printer?
