Yeah, and for the money I'd expect OSX 10.2 to be able to copy 10gigs of MP3 files to a FAT32 PC hard drive without complaint. But noooo, can't do that. It even tried to trash the HFS+ drive it was reading from! Good thing I had another Mac with 9.1 and Norton Utils on its drive. It munged up the partition pretty bad and scattered the B Tree stuff hither and yon. Amazingly only one file bit the dust. Anyway, it's a customer's Mac I'm fixing up and the only thing I have handy for _trying_ to backup his MP3 collection is the 20gig HD from my PC. ;P That has been the most ANNOYING Mac I've ever dealt with. Makes me like the 68k ones even more after dealing with OSX and it's inability to do simple things like sensing that the Apple 14" monitor plugged in can't do 75hz at 1024x768. ===== "Truth is, after all, a stronger edifice than a lie.
