>>Shouldn't be too difficult to replace all of the electrolytics and see if that
helps :)<<

I thought of that, but the electrolytics are located back by the power
supply jack, over by the ADB plug, up underneath the floppy drive, and
without a parts layout schematic, it's damn near impossible. Trying to
follow traces is a loser, because they go from the top to the bottom of
the board and back again, and I'm not too sure that it isn't a
multi-layer board. A quarter-inch line on the schematic turns out to be
about 24 inches long. A couple of traces disappear like rivers in
Florida--somewhere underground. I asked the local computer repair
types, and they said, "And how much were you willing to pay?" They
don't know either, and they won't part with a parts layout. Anybody got
one?

The IIvx is on the shelf, the IIci comes on as soon as the surge
protector is switched on, and chugs along all day long. I figure it's a
good candidate for some 24/7 service.

Other than that life is normal, except for the 2 feet of snow
everywhere. Last night was the first time the temps' been above
freezing since 1 Jan. Hey, I chose to live here, which ain't normal.
