I found an actual EtherWave card for an LC. It has "EtherWave"
silkscreened on the card, and the two connectors are twins. Your picture
shows 2 different kinds of connectors, so I think it is in fact not an
EtherWave card after all.

The card may be dead. Is there an LED visible from the connector side?
Does it light up when a live ethernet cable is inserted? When there is an
LED and it does not light up, usually the card is toast.
