The Question Mark over a disk icon is the Mac's way of saying the hard disk is either not spinning, not connected properly, or is/has damage to either the System Folder or platters/controller card. Open it, first, and check the connections to the drive, and boot it with your ear next to the hard disk listening for a spinning sound. A boot disk can easily be had from any number of us list members if you want to avoid the hassle of using a PC. BUT, your floppy drive needs to work....
