Wow, this topic has gone fairly far afield from 64MB SIMMs...
I'm mostly trying to summarize for my own knowledge, but also to
sort of wrap this thread into one coherent package (since I think this is
one of the more informative threads I've seen in some time anywhere).
It seems that there were 4 cases used for LC-form-factor boards:
original LC cases (with 2 floppy slots), the grooved type first used on
the LC II (similar to the LC case in look, but with only one floppy slot),
the manual-inject type with no groove on the front and the LC-type feet
(the best-known LC475 case), and the Q605 case that's similar in look to a
smaller Q/LC/P630 case without the CD-ROM and auxiliary controls.
Now, as far as which board was in which case from the factory, it
seems like the dual-floppy case was only used on the original LC, the
single-floppy grooved front was used on the LCII, LCIII, LCIII+, and
LC475, the manual-inject front was used on the LCII, LCIII, LCIII+, LC475,
and Q605, and the doubly-convex-front case with the "Quadra feet" was only
used on the Q605. Does this all look correct?
Also, are Q605s much more rare in the Quadra-feet case than in the
LC475 case? I've never seen the former type anywhere but Dana's site, and
I've been looking for one "in the flesh" for a while. (No, that's not
meant as a shameless want-to-buy, but if anybody's willing to part with
one, feel free to contact me offlist. ;) ) Meanwhile, I swear I've run
across Q605s in the LC475 case before, although those weren't mentioned
earlier in this thread and I've no pictures to prove it.

Ack.

Hey, that could almost use the otherwise-orphaned IIsi case!

Finally, and even more off-topic, does anybody know anything about the
convex/concave front originally intended for the LC/P630 (but not Q630)
that's mentioned in AppleDesign? (Yeah, I know this is getting pretty far
afield, and I'll gladly carry this into Quadlist instead, but it seemed
somewhat related to the conversation, so I thought I'd ask it here.)

Thanks for the great conversation, and sorry for the long post.
