I relate my story a lot, and I get a hue and cry each time I relate it. My Classic, I find, gets more work than any other Compact I own. It's probably as simple as the fact that it has a one gig hard drive and the floppy drive works perfectly. I once found myself between the CRT and ground just after starting up a Classic. It was a shock like the kind you feel when holding the spark plug wire of a lawnmower when your friend pulls the crank. I'm 50 years old. I'm a strong fellow. I don't recommend anyone else try this to get their own results. But I survived a zapping from a live CRT. I will never consider Compact Macs to be killers.
