The card has to be OHCI compliant to work with Mac OS.

USB 2.0 devices will not work with any "classic"
Mac OS because Apple and all 3rd party USB
device makers refuse to write the drivers. Not even
the freelance programmers who do things like OS9
Helper
or USB Overdrive care about bringing USB 2.0 support
to OS9. (But then people with a similar bent will do
strange things like design USB, Smart Media and IDE
hard drive interfaces for 25 year old computers like
the TI-99/4A!)
