Hey, thanks for all the KVM info.
Another question. I just installed a USB pci card on a PowerMac 7500. I also installed the USB card support from Apple. When I attach anything like a zip drive, printer, flash card reader, the Mac can't see it and says no drive attached or can't find printer or scanner or whatever.
I've tried to install any drivers I could find for the zip driver, scanner, printer, but still nothing.
It's possible the USB card is the wrong type. What OS are you using?
I would try a USB mouse or keyboard with it. Those are the most basic devices and will almost always be supported.
Also, assuming I get a USB zip drive working and share it, can my IIci see it and use it through appletalk?
Sure. Basically any locally mounted volume can be shared using FileSharing except for floppies. That includes RAM Disk (not certain though) and mounted disk images.
