Glen,
My distributor is part# 113 905 205M.  The braided
wire is attached to a square nut on the inside
of the distributor casing which holds the screw
for attaching the condenser to the outside of 
the casing.  I don't see any tabs, screws or
broken piece of braided wire to determine
how to reattach it.  I've only got solder to
attach copper wires; is there another type
of solder that will attach this braided wire
to the metal advance plate?  I can take a
picture if that would help.
