You might not be able to reuse your S/S braided hoses with new calipers,
since I believe they aren't the same length.  Too short and you have obvious
problems, but too long can mean that the hose can get in the way of the tire
if it has to bow much.

As for a "good tool" for popping out tie rod ends, I've always found a good
strike with a medium-sized hammer on the knuckle at the point where the
tapered end fits into the knuckle is the best way.  The impact temporarily
makes the round tapered hole "oval", which will eventually release its grip
from the tie rod end after enough impacts.  Hit it harder than you would
when driving nails, but not quite as hard if you were playing a game of
"Whack-a-Mole"...
