Have you tried the reflector tape on the fuel hose? I was thinking of doing that on an old Ford truck that I have, which suffers from vapor lock.

Yesterday I was unable to get it restarted and had to have my son tow me home. I have a 74 standard beetle, generator equipped. It has been in the upper 90s here during my drive home. All the tin, hoses and seals are in place. What can I do to prevent the problem? And what can I do if I get vapor lock again (besides waiting for it to cool-water or ice on the fuel pump, reflector tape on the fuel hoses, etc)? Thanks.
