If you take I64 avoid the Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel (HRBT) (I-64)
during peak traffic and try to take the Monitor-Merrimac Bridge
Tunnel (I-664) if it's not too far out of your way. Traffic on I64
is not too bad now that school is back in session and most of the
tourist are back at home but the HRBT always backs up.

I avoid the HRBT at all cost.
