Thanks for the info Marc.  I've a '67 ghia with the original low-back seats.
I found some '68 beetle high-back seats in a salvage yard and thought
they may be easier to restore/re-upholster.   I guess I'll just tear the seat
covers off and see what's underneath.  I do like the low-back seats for 
originality.
