Hi All, I want to use a trans from a 74 in a 69 Bug because it is literally a 0 mile unit that was only used up till now in a VW training center many years ago.? Looking for suggestions?? Should I:
1. Swap nose cone from 69 trans onto 74 trans and use 69 mounts?? Seem to recall later mounts were stronger? 2. Remove 69 front mount with studs pointing towards the back that is currently welded to the 69 pan, and weld the piece with the studs pointing down that is used to mount the 74 front mount?? Is that piece sold anywhere? 3. Rebuild a 74 pan(have one) and put the 69 down on that? Thanks!!
