if the 74 trans is single side cover with AT xxxx stamped on pad on 
passenger side it is 3.88-1 ring and pinion with .93 4th gear. you can use 
the 69 nose cone on it to install. your 69 trans would be 4.12-1 with .89 
4th gear. sounds like a good swap to me.
