Things to check when you have a no-idle situation:

Idle cut off working and not loose on the carb

plugged heat riser pipe allowing ice to form in the intake manifold (this
will only affect idle when running on a cold day when the dew point is low
otherwise it would idle fine)

All the normal points of failure for vacuum leaks (end castings, manifold
boots, carb gasket, distributor vacuum cannister)

Debris getting into the idle circuit is a possibility - it doesn't take much

What kind of fuel filter are you running and where is it located in the fuel
system?

How did you initially adjust the carburetor when you put it on? Tell me
some specifics as far as the air bypass and mixture screw and how you did
the initial adjustment.
