I told him that his engine is weak and even after doing carb work, it 
probably won't run much better.  Funny thing is that it doesn't smoke a bit. 
His wife didn't seem too happy about it but I strongly urged him to go with 
a turn-key engine.  Anymore, when it comes to people's expectations for what 
their money gets them, it makes more sense to just replace the whole 
shebang.  Otherwise, if you're the guy doing the rebuild work, etc. and 
something goes wrong, you get to do it all over again and not charge a cent 
more.  There's nothing more that kills motivation than the lack of a big ol' 
paycheck at the end of the job.

So I hope I advised him correctly.  Any comments would be appreciated.
