Hi Bert, Listed as "In Stock" for $8.50 from www.wolfsburgwest.com
Good luck. I replaced the strap on my 68 Bug a few years ago with this strap and it is still going strong. tom ----- Original Message ----- From: "Bert Knupp" <[email protected]> To: "'Air-Cooled Volkswagen Discussion List'" <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, November 03, 2010 1:05 PM Subject: Re: [vintagvw] Hold-down strap Hi, Jack, Nope, not it. That 885-585V56 67 RP part is the rubber loop strap that held the rear seatback upright in earlier beetles and Ghias. The system was later replaced with metal latches. The strap I need is like a 1" webbing belt, about 18" or so long, with an adjusting buckle, that holds the seatback down flat when it's folded over forward. Thanks, but I'm still looking.
