It's tough finding a lady who likes VWs. I saw quite a few girls who were indifferent towards them and just like of blah about the whole thing. My wife grew up riding to school in a Beetle and saw her dad cry when her mom got t-boned (she lived) while taking the kids to school on a rainy day. It turned out they had to scrap the bug. It was a 1963 Beetle, the same year bug that I have stored at the acreage which we plan to restore once the house is done.
A person shouldn't give up on VWs because of their mate, but you shouldn't give up on your mate because of VWs. It's the balance that's hard to strike but once you find the balance and the love of your live, it makes things a whole lot better.
