Oh okay Bill. So all these years I've had it wrong then. They jumped the gun so production of any given year started 6 months early. July of 1972 to June of 1973 was all 1973 production. Okay then so this beetle is a 1973 production year which means I was completely mistaken. Blah.
Next question then: Did the 1973 Super Beetles have anything unique about their front suspension. It's different than my 1974 - especially on those lower arms. Did they continue to use the same suspension as they did on the 71 and 72 Supers and then change over completely in 1974?
