Hi Bill,
The beetle is an IRS.
I shall compare the looks and report back. I think Ive gone paranoid
about this and simply do not want to take chances. Ive heard horror stories
regarding rear drums coming loose.
How hard is it to replace the axle?? I am guessing its easier relatively
compared to the swingaxle setup? I have made up my mind to locate and buy a
good used axle and keep in stock so I do not have to search in case any issue
arises. VW parts are getting harder to find in my country by the day.
Best regards,
Asad
