Eric,

Not sure if you ordered the same labels I did. I ordered them from amazon
since I have Amazon Prime. They are the Avery 6570 labels and it states
that they are for both laser and inkjet printers. Just FYI.

Subject: Re: Digit-Eyes and Canon MP620 printer

Hello list,

For anyone following this small thread, I am still unsuccessful
printing Digit-Eyes labels using my Canon MP620 printer. I tried
Christina's suggestion of printing from preview and the results were the
same. Using the labels that are 30 per page they print about 1 quarter of a
Inch too high. Using my work HP laser printer with different Avery labels,
but also 30 per page, they print fine.

I ordered more labels that are a better shape for Digit-Eyes and though I
meant to get labels I could use on both Ink Jet and Laser printers, the
receipt shows they are Laser labels. Thus, I'm going to use my work
printer.

One big tip for new users like me. Once you get the labels printed they are
much easier to use if the label is almost completely clear of extra white
space. My secretary used a paper cutter to cut my labels into strips of
square Digit-Eyes labels, rather then the long rectangular shape. This made
all the difference for me concerning recognition time with Digit-Eyes. I
went from beginners frustration to efficient fast user just with that
change. The long labels left too much guess work for me to center the
camera. Though I thought I was centered I rarely was. Once I had a square
label things worked much better!

I am looking forward to trying the close to square, slightly larger, 1 and
1/4 by 1 and 3/4 quarter inch labels I ordered. I'll certainly send a
message with a update.

Best.

in Preview? I only know how to follow the steps on the Digit-Eyes site and
open the PDF when I press the link. I'm entering unknown territory here.

reason if I printed from the Adobe safari plug-in the labels did not print
in the correct spot. However, if I opened the pdf with preview instead of
the browser plug-in, it printed wonderfully.

I'd love to find out if you had any difficulty getting this printer to print
labels correctly. I'll be checking in with Cannon and trying a different
package of labels soon, but in the meantime I can't seem to get the Avery
8160 labels to work with this printer. they print just a bit too high. As
this seems to be a pretty common printer I'm wondering if anyone has all
ready solved this problem. Also if it is working well for you perhaps you
could let me know which labels you are using successfully with this printer?

available support. But, I have this one last step to conquer, before
exploring all the possibilities of this app.
