I use my 4s at 100% speech rate.
The bug is still present and so far the only common denominator I've noticed is it seems to rear its ugly head when I'm rapidly swiping.
Maybe others are just slower with there devices?

just because the issue only began with iOS v5.0, this does not exclude it being related to the speed of the synth.

it maybe that previous coding of the OS allowed without issue the speed that some users like, but, that coding in iOS v5.0 does not.

I'm not saying that it is the speed issue, but, that it seems plausible, and without anyone who has the issue, declaring that they have the issue, with speed below 60% then we cannot rule it out.

more over, we know that the iOS device continues to operate normally, only the speech stops, leading me to consider it a synth specific issue.

the people who have the issue, seem to have the speed set high, were as, those who say they do not, seem to have it set at 50% or less.

If we're talking about the bug which started with ioos5 where vo and sounds freeze and return after a while or once power down or screen locking. It cannot be what you say. It only started with 5 but I function between 40 & 60% speed. I have a 3GS running Samantha but I know of people using 4 & 4s on Australian voice.
