Oh, well, both my ex-wife and my current wife would disagree with the
wrong bit, *smile*. Seriously though, thanks for the compliment.
Regarding this bug or any other, I don't personally like having to do
testing in order for a company to fix the problem unless I'm on their
testing team. However, since we are a small minority, I guess part of me
feels that whatever we can do to give Apple all the information they
need may help in the end. I can't stand speech at lower speeds, but am
willing to put up with it for a few hours to see if I can prove or
disprove the assumption that slower speeds are not affected and higher
speeds are.
Because I've been in beta testing situations before, and still am in
certain things, this isn't new to me. Still, it's annoying.

Hi Eric, I think what Neil was trying to get across was to suggest people slow
down the speech to see if the problem still happens. Then if it does or
doesn't, eventually you go back to the faster speed and you will be wiser so
you can report to Apple. This is testing at a basic level. I have this problem,
but choose to try and help out. So even if it means for a few hours, using the
phone at slower speeds, I will see what I can find out and report to Apple.
Now, Neil, if I have your intent wrong, please correct me.

Neil, I don't mean to be disrespectful, but what point is there in lowering
speech rate to test if that is the issue. If you have the problem, you know
it and knowing why you have it really does nothing.
If you can accept working with slower speech, I suppose that is a solution
of sorts, but it makes about as much sense as telling someone with car
troubles they will have to drive at half speed and all will be well.
I guess you could argue that half speed speech is better than an
intermittent no speech, but only for a very patient customer. It is no
solution at all for most customers and should not be to Apple, either. I
doubt it is. It just really bugs me that they will not even acknowledge
there is a problem and say it is on their list of things to fix. But, with
so little feedback, compared to what they got from thousands and thousands
of customers and hundreds of web writers and some real writers, too, and
they still would not cop to the antenna issue, I don't expect we will ever
hear anything on our little issue.
