Hi Mary, were you direct messaged, or mentioned? That's the only time you'd
get a notification. If you got a notification every time someone sent a
tweet, that'd be pretty overwhelming, especially for those of us following
hundreds of accounts.

Well, I had the app in the switcher but the screen was locked or I was in
other apps, such as Itunes for quite some time this afternoon, and I didn't
get any notifications, but when I went back to the app, there were a few new
tweets. So it is a mystery.
