Yes, those were my thoughts as well. If Apple would give developers
access to installing voices for use in general it would be nice, but
then there would be more fees I imagine for using the voices freely with
other apps. This is sort of like tying specific synthesizers in Windows
to specific screen readers. Yet, the option exist such as Neospeech
voices, to make them available to all sapi-enabled programs. If wishes
were horses though.

I'm glad Twitter has a character limit of 140 instead of 144. That would
be gross.

This is one disadvantage of Apple's sandbox approach. You can't download the
voices once and have any app that supports them hook into them. So if you
have multiple apps supporting the same TTS, you may have multiple, space
consuming copies of it. If you've got Voicebrief, Read2Go, and now this,
that's a lot of space, especially on a 16GB unit.

Hi Raul and others. -- I know, replying to one self is a sign of insanity.
In any case, I also noted the size of the app is 272 mb. That means that
it's around 25% of a gb. Maybe it's because of whatever voices it uses to
speak things. I wonder which one they use. I don't remember reading which
one it was. I'd be curious how this app works out compared to free apps like
Around me, or low-cost apps like Ariadne GPS.
I'm too cheap to fork out the cost of a large pizza to try out. So, I'll
wait to read what others have to say about it first.

I read that a banana a day will help keep your colon clean. I just
wish they would've mentioned that you're suppose to eat them.

A hot new GPS app just entered the app store. BlindSquare uses
FourSquare's location database to provide points of interest. You can
also add your own private points. It will also tell your location and
nearest cross street, everything you need. I really like it! I can't
find an iTunes link yet, but you can find it by searching on your
iDevice in the app store. It doesn't have any documentation yet, but
hopefully you can figure out, and you can ask if you have any questions.
Enjoy!
