not remembering for certain but i think i anserd a call and it went to the handset like a normal call would .

Hi, if I remember correctly, you need to have a Bluetooth ear piece on. This way you can dock the iPhone and listen to your music, then use your Bluetooth to answer an incoming call. 
Again, if I'm remembering correctly, it worked like a charm. :-)

I also like the Clipsh dock but i have a question. Is it possible to answer

Do you have a favorite bedside iPhone iPod dock?

I don't mind if it is just a speaker dock or clock radio.

A remote would be a nice bonus but not necessary.
I'd like a small/medium footprint, good sound, and charge my iPhone4s and 
Nano 5th gen.
