No it won't. You will have to either enable imap on your account or set
Gmail up manually.

Desperate to have emails deleted from phone and gmail and computer at the
same time. When I changed my email address I was given instruction which
put me into an exchange. I hated it and figured out how to change to
POP3. How do I change to IMAP if it will delete email from the server from
iPhone? Need details. Thanks a bunch!
