After June 28 you cannot keep unlimited data on Verizon unless you pay full retail for the device. Also with 4g LTE you can use internet and talk on the phone at the same time. I know this does not currently apply to the iPhone as the 4 and 4s are not 4g. I would expect however that the next iPhone to be released will be a 4g device.

But, you are right that AT&T allows you to browse while on a phone conversation, which you can't do with Verizon. Also, to the guy who upgraded to a 4s and kept the unlimited data plan with Verizon, I think it depends on when you did the upgrade. I think after May, this no longer applies, I know it doesn't apply currently. ----- Original Message ----- From: Peter Logan <mailto:[email protected]> To: [email protected] Cc: [email protected] Sent: Saturday, July 28, 2012 7:05 PM Subject: Re: Thoughts on carrier options in US Here are a couple of other things to consider ... AT&T will give us free directory assistance and voice dial, I don't use the latter much, but the free DA is great. Also, if you are talking ... you can still be downloading on AT&T. This of course was a bit different with the older devices we are used to, nokias and alike, and even some of the newer droid devices to. One thing of note I've herd people mention though, are the differences between the data plans offered through sprint, verison and at&t. Not sure if any are really considered truly unlimited, but sprint and verison apparently have an upper hand on us at&t users. One other thing that may become an issue with the IPhone 5, if it really is 4g compatible, will be how the 4g works here on AT&t. I really honestly don't know much about 4g or what they use so maybe it'll work perfectly. > Take care. > On 7/28/2012 3:06 PM, Richard Turner wrote: >> The only thing I've heard is depending on where you live, one carrier might >> drop fewer calls than the other. >> Around me, Verizon seems to have the best reputation for call quality and >> fewest dropped calls.
