Hi, There's no reason why a new OS *has* to be slower no, but anyone who has used two operating systems on an iDevice that isn't the latest and greatest will tell you that performance has decreased. Had the OP been talking about going from 8.0 to 8.1.3 for arguments sake then my response would have been different, but he's asking about going from 7.1.2 to 8.1.3. I appreciate that you may have just been posting for the sake of completeness, but IMHO some posts (not just ones on this list) don't need a huge list of caveats at the end of them.
