Sure this is not how it's done. We can't, certainly I can't, keep finger on a graphic map and follow anything.
More usually, it will know where you are now, you can tell it, or you can select where you are going, then it will figure it out and tell you which way to go. That's why folk have it, the thinghy tells them the way by voice, it should say what the junction is, or say left at or right at such and such. I'm sure there's an explore mode, which means you can pick through the list of stages or junctions you pass and learn it to the point you know it as first left at, then third right at, and so on. I prefer that, with an occasional question about where am I, and get a sensible answer. This is more like it is meant to work and should be used.
