My thanks to everyone who has contributed to this thread. When I first posted, I had played with Voice Dream Writer but not enough to determine how well cursor tracking works with the built-in and external keyboards. I am very impressed with the app, and knowing Winston Chen' excellent track record with developing Voice Dream Reader, I'm sure the Writer app will continue to be refined and developed.
