Hi patti,

In iOS 8, you control the grade of braille that appears on your display 
separately from the grade of braille in which you input text. G-chord changes 
how braille will appear on your display. To change braille input, press dots 
2-3-6-chord to toggle between contracted, 6-dot, and 8-dot (computer) braille.
