Hi John, I have used my iGrill mini in my oven several times and also on my George Forman grill. It works very well. It now will give you an alarm 10ยบ before the set cooking temperature so it gives you time to do other things before it reaches set temperature.
I love it By the way, the only difference between the iGrill mini and the iGrill 2 is that the iGrill 2 has two probes. Its quite a bit more money and not really necessary unless you want to cook 2 items at the same time.
