I just received an iGrill2 yesterday and used it for the first time last
night. I used it in my oven and it worked well. I set the type of food I was
cooking and it did indeed give me an alarm when the temperature was ten
degrees away from the target and then again when the food was done. It will
be very useful for chicken; in my effort to get it thoroughly cooked I often
overcook it. This seems to solve the problem for me. One other feature I
think I will take advantage of is to purchase a third thermometer probe that
I can use for ambient temperature. For me, that will be later, but could be
useful in controlling smoker temperature.
I found the registration screen to be less than accessible and I don't think
I was able to get the app and device fully registered.

I have used my iGrill mini in my oven several times and also on my George
Forman grill. It works very well. It now will give you an alarm 10ยบ before
the set cooking temperature so it gives you time to do other things before
it reaches set temperature.

By the way, the only difference between the iGrill mini and the iGrill 2 is
that the iGrill 2 has two probes. Its quite a bit more money and not really
necessary unless you want to cook 2 items at the same time. I know some
people like to cook a chicken and a roast pork together but I usually cook
only one item at once.

I have used the IGrill 2 several times in my smoker. It works very well. The
IPhone app is also very accessible. Just make sure you use gloves when
pulling it out.
