The probe is a thermometer so, I guess you can put it in the oven and it
will give you the temperature of the oven but that won't tell you what the
setting is. If your oven is set to 450º and you want 350º, the probe will
tell you when it gets to 350º but it will keep going up so that is not much
help. I have another device that is much better for that. It’s the
infrared thermometer for the blind. Its an instant-read thermometer. Just
open the oven door and point the thermometer inside the oven and press the
button. I start at a lower setting and raise it checking regularly. It is
available from Brooks Technology and I beliebe its brookstechnology.com

Hi can I use the Igrill mini to put in the oven so I can tell what the
temp is when it gets to the selected level? I have an oven that is digital
and it sets to the last setting that was used. That setting could be
anything. Or, is this Igrill mini just to put into some kind of meat to tell
