Neal and others, I am far from happy with my classical music listening on the net. Even the high-priced TIDAL app does not provide specific labeling of artists, orchestras, etc. For instance, a performance of Beethoven's 5th symphony may be listed as conducted by Herbert von Karajan; but if he has conducted one version with the Vienna Philharmonic and another with the Berlin Philharmonic, I would like to know which one I am listening to. I realize that services such as My Music, TIDAL, and Spotify are dealing with databases whose labelings they cannot change. Nevertheless, I reserve the right to be frustrated.
