I have to say, I had this combination, I'd tried and failed with the speed dots thinghy; then tried again with this case, fiddled until I got it lined up right, and then got the cover on over it without lifting any corners and it's worked a treat since. This is a very good combination.

There is no real right or wrong way of putting on this case onto the phone. It's stretchy enough that whether it's top to bottom or bottom to top first doesn't really matter. Regarding your issue with the speed dots protector, my recommendation is to remove the case. Then feel with your fingernail along the left edge from top to bottom, and then the same on the right edge. This is to determine if the protector is slightly too far to the left or right. If you can feel the smooth glass for example on one side, but not the other, then it's off centered a little. Also, if you run your fingers around the corners of the phone, make sure that you don't feel the edge of the protector sticking out as that will also be an indication of a mis-aligned application. The nice thing about these is that are reusable and so if you have to remove them and reapply them, it can be done with little fuss. Just make sure to have clean hands to avoid oils from getting between your protector and the glass surface. Good luck, and if I can help more, let me know. I have gotten quite practiced at putting them on and would be happy to provide more assistance. -- Raul A.
