Yes, the screen needs to be on and Maps needs to be open, sorry I didn't make that as clear as I could have. Yes, there are definitely better, more descriptive solutions. I came late to this thread, and the message I saw stated that the native Maps app couldn't provide intersection announcements. I just wanted to set the record straight and say that it can in fact do this. Certainly, third-party apps can do it better, but Maps will do the job if you need it to in a pinch, or if you know your local area well and need only to know which street you are coming to, not necessarily what the intersection looks like. > On Oct 20, 2015, at 21:27, M.
