Chrome cast is certainly cheaper. But, because you must have that ability to cast from your phone or tablet, it has limitations. Applications without the cast capability won't work. I was considering getting a chrome cast audio, but none of the things I like to send from a device to audio have cast. So it would be pointless. This depends on which services you use of course
