I've had issues with my 6 with it not recognizing my fingerprint. It was one of those things that happened for while and then it worked for awhile. Since I've had the 6S though, rarely have I had issues with having either my thumb or index fingers not recognized. Usually when it occurs, my fingers are a little damp or dirty. The Touch ID sensor is extremely fast though. More often, I just want to check the time but I use one of my unlocking fingers, and after a beat the phone is unlocked, when I just wanted to look at the lock screen.
