Hi Kelby, Moving apps is not random, but it requires a light touch, if you have a good special awareness of how you move your finger when you drag an app it is much easier and mostly it requires practice. Try to start small when you practice and just see if you can move an app one or two spots to the left or right or up or down or maybe see if you can move the top left app (in row 1) down into row 2 and on second or third position from the left. Voiceover gives some feedback as you move it, it will say if you are on another app and it will say stuff like "On so and so app, will create folder with so and so app". Here is an example:
Assume you have the calculator app in row 1 on the very left and right next to it you have the clock app. Now if you double tap and hold on calculator, it will say "Moving Calculator". If you now drag your finger to the right just a bit it should say "On Clock, will create folder with clock". If you let go at this point a folder will be created and I think it will probably be called "Utilities" since folders are typically named according to the category of whatever app you are moving. If, for example, you move Calculator on Camera it will create a Utility folder, but if you move Camera on Calculator it will create a Photography folder. You can edit folder names to whatever you want them to be called by opening a folder, double tap and hold on an app like you want to move it, then swipe left to the folder name which now is in an edit field, you can double tap on it to put focus in the edit field, you can then delete what's there and type something new or there is also a Clear All button next to I t which wil clear the field. As far as moving apps from one page to another this I find is easiest if the app is already on the edge, for example, if you want to move an app from page 1 to page 2 it might work better if you move the app fiurst to the third or last position in the row, then start again and drag it right to the edge of the screen. Voiceover will say "Moving to Page 2" there will be a sound and then you let go and it should have wrapped around. If you continue to hold it will keep wrapping to Page 3, Page 4 etc. Hope this helps a bit, like I said, practice and you'll get it. You can also move apps with a Bluetooth keyboard, but somebody else may have to explain that since I just never bother. It seems to be totally random when the page will shift and when it won't. -- The following information is important for all members of the V iPhone list.
