Unread doesn't help when you have 27,000 unread emails in 3 accounts! Most
were downloaded to my PC but remained on the gmail servers. The thought of
tapping each one makes my arm hurt just to think of it.

This is all fascinating, in that these are things, both these things, I got
used to doing on my iMini.
Indeed, the Unread folder is good since I do have duplicate mail in two
different accounts, so can lose the entire thread out of
both.

As usual there are more than one way to accomplish what you choose to do. I
find it fastest for me to put the inbox into edit mode,
check all the emails I am not interested in reading, tap on the trash
button. Then you can go through the remaining emails and open
them one by one and keep or delete.

i've not seen an option to not have the next email open when you delete the
message while it is open.
What I usually do is read a message, use the two finger scrub gesture to go
back to the list, then go through my emails and if one
doesn't interest me based on the subject, I do the single finger flick up to
delete and double tap to delete that message.
I find it is much faster going through emails that way.
I'm sure there are other time saving tricks out there, but that is basically
what I do.

Hi Group,
Is there a way to go through emails without having one email open. When I
delete one email than another ones opens. Is there a way
to keep emails from opening in the Mail App. I just want to go through my
inbox and then tap on the one I want to read and then
delete it and then go through my emails again and open the one I want to
read. Any help on this would be appreciated.
