If you can afford one, the Apple Smart Battery Case is also a good investment. These are $100 in US currency, and work with the iPhone 6/6S, but not the plus models. When the phone is in the case, you can view the charge status for both the case and the phone from the notification center. When both case and phone are at 100 percent, I've found that my phone's battery does not usually dip below 100 percent for between 11 and 14 hours. And I don't get down to charging level usually until almost bedtime, and this is when taking the phone off the lightning charger when I get up at 6 in the morning. I say usually since I often watch YouTube videos, and these seem to drain the battery faster. I got this battery case last January and haven't regretted the purchase. In fact, after seeing how long my battery lasted and that I didn't have to charge it until bedtime, my wife wants one. She has to charge her phone several times a day and she keeps a charge cable in our car. She has said several times that when we get the new iPhone later this year, she will get a Smart Battery Case along with me.
