Hi! I'm replying on this one because it's the latest I have. I read the arguments and came to this: RS Games client for iOS is a good thing, I wrote to developers about it sometimes in 2012 or 2013 and I'm glad it exists now for iOS users. I don't believe or think blind folks have to get everything for free and I usually don't have a problem to pay for the app if I consider it worth it. However, I tried BlindFold RS Games app this afternoon and I find it very useful and intuitive but I'm really in the dilemma should I pay or should I not. Considering the European watt the cheapest game is $3.25 and the most expensive one $6.99 (if I'm remembering well). My opinion on this is those in-app purchases should be much cheaper. Me personally and many people I know don't have a problem to pay for something which cost $1.25 or $2.50 but spending seven bucks is a bit too much. There are tones of sighted games with decent graphics and sound which cost just a few bucks and the same should apply for the blind games. Besides that, when I tested the game I was getting the commercial blocks as seen in the PC app. I don't know are those going away after in-app purchase but I doubt it because this is general server thing with broadcasting advertisements to all clients and I don't want to see those in the paid version. Nobody said anything about it or I have missed it in the ters and conditions. So, paying something is not the problem, problem is overpaying because we are blind. That's why I never gonna purchase KNFB Reader for $125 and I'll stick to TextGrabber and the Voice. Anyhow, why not just agree to disagree, those who think it's ridiculous to pay can play for free on the computer and those who like having access to the games on their iOS devices and who don't mind paying somebody for their effort can pay. I guess it also makes a difference if you are a blind person who is out and about and who may like mobile access to these games or whether you are just sitting around at home for whatever reason where you can play on the computer. From the limited testing I've done before writing this article, the gestures appear to work well, and so do the keyboard commands if quicknav is disabled. Unfortunately, even though there is a setting that is designed for braille display users, none of the spoken feedback comes up on the braille display during game play. This was tested under 2 different iDevices with 2 different braille displays. However, for a 1.0 release, it seems quite solid based on initial testing.
