Ben Lovejoy at 9to5Mac has been following this issue closely. today he reported that Apple bought a company in the past week that has breakthrough technology. devices can be charged up to 20 feet away without placing the device on a charging pad. If Apple can deploy this technology to scale, it will be a game changer and Apple will again set the standard that others must meet to be competitive. Check out Ben's reporting and analysis for more.
