He wil be staying in the U.S. for two months, until Christmas, he does
not know if he will get back there after Christmas, so he is trying to
find the best option regarding carrier.

tMobile, and Consumer Cellular have good plans that do not require a
contract. I do not know about prepaid cards where you by x minutes and
Data and use it until it is gone and then reload the card.
I'm sure others have information.
