Hmmm, not to be inciting any disrespect nor lack of courtesy but why would anybody particularly care if someone they’ve blocked knows it or not. Personally, if I take (what I consider) the drastic measure of blocking someone it is because I have done it for a well deserved behavior that I do not to encounter any further. In such cases I could truly care less if that individual knows I’ve blocked them!
